New hires always go through an orientation. Among other things, they get shown where they will work, what is important nearby, where and where not to go, and how to get to and from the parking lot. For weeks afterwards they will still be asking questions about where some person works or the location of a piece of equipment, often bothering busy people. Our model makes a good initial training tool and an excellent reference tool.
If you are scheduling work in advance, through testing with the model you can make sure that your own personnel or outside contractors know where everything is located.
It's expensive to practise evacuations, so companies don't do them often. With our model your employees can demonstrate their knowledge of what to do when the siren goes off. For example, do they know where to look for the flags indicating wind direction? You can now have a record showing who knows what to do and who doesn't. Practise evacuations are still needed, but they will go more smoothly. An additional bonus to the model is that you have something for people who hire in just after the scheduled practise and would normally have to wait several months until the next.
Customers like to know who they are dealing with. Insurance, time constraints, and cost have done away with most site visits. One of our 3D models will convey the feel of your facility and let a customer or potential customer build a psychological bond with you. It also has the nice side benefit that there is never any trash lying around.
A person can work at a facility for ten years and either not know something about the facility or forget the piece of information, only having heard it once eight years ago. 99% of the human race won't read reference information, either through laziness or because they find such material unclear. Instead they'll wander around bothering other people for the information. Our 3D models, though, are visual and fun. In a few seconds a person can identify known locations and figure out where they need to go.
Projects often get scheduled in advance with tight time-lines. Using our models you can ensure that when contractors arrive, they know where to go and where all the equipment is located, including circuit breakers and mechanical shut off devices. This type of advanced preparation saves time and money. Currently it is done with pictures and paper, our 3D model is a much better solution.
Companies use videotapes and brochures for safety training. Putting a person in our virtual model lets them know where they are going. All during their visit they will have flashes of recognition from something they already experienced in the model. This will keep the rest of the introductory material, safety - the main point of the training, fresh in their mind.
Our 3D model is built on a platform that contains simulation software. With it you can train both process operators who work in a control room and field people. When the latter closes a mechanical valve or takes a device out of service, the simulation will accurately reflect the change in the process.
